The Tears God Collects

A Soul Devotional from I Rise and Roar

There are sacred seasons when the tears don’t ask for permission —
they fall quietly in the dark,
or boldly in the daylight,
when life becomes a weight too heavy to hold.

And in those fragile moments,
you may wonder —
Do these tears matter?
Does anyone see me?

But Beloved, the Word says otherwise.

“You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in Your bottle.
You have recorded each one in Your book.”

— Psalm 56:8 (NLT)

Every tear you’ve wept in silence,
every ache you’ve carried in the unseen —
Heaven has noticed.
God has gathered each drop
as divine evidence of your becoming.

Your tears are not weakness.
They are the riverbed of your resilience.
The sound of your soul learning to trust again.
The anointing oil of your healing journey.

God does not waste sorrow.
He sanctifies it.
He turns weeping into watering —
and what you thought was the end
becomes the soil of sacred beginnings.

So if today you feel invisible,
if the ache makes you question your worth,
lean into this truth:

God keeps count.
He keeps close.
He keeps you.

And in His divine time,
your tears will bloom
into purpose, power, and peace.

Prayer

God of my wilderness and wonder,
Thank You for catching the tears I couldn’t explain.
For seeing me in the shadows and holding me anyway.
Let my sorrow become sacred in Your hands.
Turn my mourning into movement. My grief into grace.
Remind me that I am never forgotten, never forsaken — always held.
Amen.

Soul Affirmation

“My tears are sacred seeds.
God sees them.
God gathers them.
God transforms them.
My pain will not end me — it will evolve me.”
